Decades after World War II, surviving victims of the "comfort women" system are mostly in their nineties, and their numbers are declining. This article surveys the status of survivors from mainland China to Southeast Asia using publicly sourced, dated records.
I. Mainland China: According to the Research Center for Chinese "Comfort Women" Issues at Shanghai Normal University, as of August 14, 2026, six registered survivors remain on the Chinese mainland.
